Pre and Post Season Baseball Injury Prevention Screen
The Pre and Post Season Baseball screen was created to help prevent injuries and optimize performance for baseball players of all ages.
Purpose:
The screening focuses on evaluating each player’s total body orthopedic health to identify any potential areas of concern. By addressing these issues early, we can reduce the risk of injuries during the season and ensure players perform at their best.
What to Expect:
-
Orthopedic Screening: Conducted by Doctors of Physical Therapy, this assessment will evaluate:
-
Lower body, spine, and upper body range of motion.
-
Strength Testing via handheld dynamometry
-
Functional Movement Assessment
-
-
Force Plate Testing: Utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, players will undergo countermovement jump analysis to assess lower body power and symmetry.
-
Data-Driven Insights: Specific measurements will be taken based on current sports research, which identifies an increased risk of injury when certain metrics fall outside of established normative ranges.
-
Individualized Player Profiles and Summary
-
There will be a summary of our findings and a key for players and parents to understand the results.
-
Benefits for Players:
-
Early identification of potential injury risks.
-
Tailored recommendations to enhance strength and mobility.
-
A stronger, healthier start to the season.
This screen is a vital step in ensuring your athlete’s safety and success. We encourage all players to go through this type of screen before and after each season .
